On the road. Discovering who This New Man is.
The New Man in Kansas City
The Longo Track
Even as I travel 4 men listening to creative expectations of what makes for The New Man, I realize they don’t wear their innovative appeal all the time. KC guys show this just like other guys do. Jeans and tees still have their place on the track of style.
Kansas City’s Mike Longo isn’t fearful of demonstrating that. But just getting to know a little about him suggests that he has a swag for the future. He literally lets his Hair down and represents to the audience that he’s his own kind of guy.
Good wear takes artsy hip cool guys a long way. Longo showcases this like many of the nonperforming guys I’ve met on the road. I can tell that the new concept of men and masculinity isn’t just a marketing spin — like some predictions of seasonal colors and shades — when the script is so consistent no matter who’s presenting the lines.
I wrote elsewhere of another KC man born his own way. Mike goes the path of a steady train of selections and it works. Still, is overall flash is sophisticated and shouldn’t make others worry about whether styles has gone for too long of a ride. They haven’t and this is a good commentary about where the heart of the nation is at.
